Freelance journalist covering beauty, fashion, nightlife and culture in L.A.

What’s your favourite thing about blogging?

Deciphering the oft-overwhelming world of beauty for our readers through informative and news-based stories. Although, creating beautiful images for our monthly photo shoots called The Look kind of takes the cake.

Hobbies:

Entertaining and all that goes with it—cooking, flower arranging and dressing up.

How would you describe your personal style?

Rock ‘n’ roll goes to the desert.

What is your favourite thing about Los Angeles?

As a native Angeleno, I have a particular affinity toward the dichotomies that make L.A. the strange and wonderful place that it is.

How did you start blogging?

My partner and I are both magazine editors, and we wanted to provide a journalistic voice for beauty coverage on the web.

Favourite designer and why?

Alexander Wang—his clothes are relaxed but chic.

Favourite store/bar/restaurant/activity in Los Angeles?

New Stone Age for gifts, Osteria Mozza for food.

What is your most prized material possession?

My gold-studded Gucci booties. They live in a safe place in my closet and only come out to play for special occasions.

What beauty item could you not live without?

Hmm, that list is pretty long BUT if it came down to it I’d have to say lipstick—from Lipstick Queen and Ilia to Guerlain and Make Up For Ever, I love them all!
