Blog genre:

What’s your day job?
Marketing & Public Art Manager
What’s your favourite thing about blogging?
I love the interaction with my readers and followers. It’s just a great feeling to inspire other people, and to have others inspire me through the web.
Hobbies:
Shopping (especially at flea markets and vintage stores), DIY projects, exploring LA, writing, traveling, and discovering new eateries.
How would you describe your personal style?
Chic with a French and vintage vibe
What is your favourite thing about Los Angeles?
I am a PROUD native Angeleno (born & raised)! I love LA because we have a unique way of doing things, whether it is in fashion, design, architecture, art, etc. Angelenos recognize the rules, but we do it our own way and, in the process, put the world’s focus on our distinctive way of living.
How did you start blogging?
I started blogging to share what I was up to (travel, fashion, DIY projects, etc) with my friends and family, not living in Los Angeles. I quickly noticed that people started visiting my site through Google searches looking for ideas and inspiration. After about 6 months, I decided to dive into blogging on a more serious level so I could share my life’s experiences with more people.
Favourite designer and why?
Rodarte! Kate & Laura have redefined elegant, feminine, and graceful design and fashion. They are unassuming, self-taught artists that create beautiful pieces for a specific type of woman.
Favourite store/bar/restaurant/activity in Los Angeles?
I love all of the art museums and galleries in Los Angeles because they are more than just places for art; they include music, food, fashion, design and creative people, which speaks volumes about LA in general.
What is your most prized material possession?
Vintage Givenchy necklace. My Mom bought the necklace when she was traveling in Paris in the early 70s with her best friend right before she got married. She kept the necklace all these years hoping to pass it on to one of her daughters (I have 2 sisters). I’ve always admired my mom’s sense of style, so I was obviously more than ecstatic when she gave me the necklace a few years ago. I love the history behind the necklace and the tradition that my Mom created by passing it on to me.
What beauty item could you not live without?
Revlon Orange Flip lipstick. It has been my favorite for years and I will never stop using it. I only hope Revlon never discontinues it!
